First Lawn Work of the Year.

You may have observed that the first mowing and weed treatment of the season have occurred.  Additionally, the entry corners and islands have now been trimmed back.  Jerry has informed me that he will go through the neighborhood and make repairs to any damaged areas caused by winter snow removal.  He was already aware of a few areas when I spoke with him, if he does not make repairs to an area that needs repair, please let me know and I’ll point him in the right direction.

Missing Green Recycle Bin.

A Message from Michele Preisinger...

If anyone ended up with an extra green recycle bin because of the wind yesterday, would you please call Michele at 667-3051 and I'll pick it up.  Mine was observed blowing away while I was gone and it hasn't turned up yet.  Thanks.

Spring Snow!

We had quite a spring snow storm last night.  We’ll see if more is on the way.

I just spoke to our snow removal contractor and they plan on being out today to clear our driveways and sidewalks.

I will keep you updated if I hear anything further.  Thanks.

Drop Box

Please use our HOA Drop-Box on the post near the front door of 13748 Grove Ave. to save on postage for yourself. This Drop-Box can be used to pay dues, drop off your contact sheets & ballots or leave comments/letters for the board.

Thanks to all who have paid their dues to date! Please remember that if we receive your first payment for 2010 after April 1, you will begin to accumulate late fees at 1% of past due amount per month.

Thanks and enjoy this warmer weather.

NRA Rebates

If you are expecting a tax rebate from the county, you should have received it this week.

If your rebate was larger than expected, there is a reason. I was told by the County Treasurer that they unintentionally overpaid many taxpayers in Bonner Springs and will send out a letter shortly explaining options. The short answer is that you can keep the rebate if you would like and your next rebate will be reduced by the overpayment.

Cheers!

snow

The snow is falling again. Accumulation is predicted to be between 3 and 6 inches. City crews are out clearing the roads. I just spoke with Jerry and he told me that if snow does accumulate to 2.5" or more, they will be out to clear our drives and sidewalks as soon as the snow stops. Stay tuned for updates, but that is what I know for now. Stay warm and safe on this snowy Sunday!
